Dusty Medical records proudly serves up another Brew City classic with the debut 7″ from Sticks N’ Stones. Founded after the untimely demise of Tuff Bananas, Sticks N’ Stones includes core members Paul Kalfahs and Jon E Reject of Catholic Boys and Natalie Clark of the Tears playing an insanely catchy take on the late 70’s/ early 80’s American power pop exemplified by Cheap Trick, Shoes, or the Nerves, that sticks in your mind like candy melted to the bench you just sat on. This 7″ includes “Red Light,” with it’s guitar power chord crunch, full, bouncy bass and danceable drums it comes on like a forgotten roller rink jam or classic theme song to a B grade retro teenage comedy, while the b-side, “Time Change,” mines similiar nostalgic territory with wistful longings for the simplicity of the past.
